Hi There! I'm Andy Vaz a person who tried most jobs in life
For the past 37 years in America, I’ve navigated a diverse array of careers to support my loved ones and forge my path. My journey began as an artisan sandwich maker for a New York Mafia figure, Nicola “Micky” Louicano. At just 18, I was promoted to manage our sandwich shop—even when business was slow—until the police uncovered it was a front for illegal gambling. Micky, who later served time for organized crime, remains a friend to this day.
I then spent a stint working the graveyard shift at the county coroner’s office before diving into the hospitality world as a waiter, cook, and media manager at my then-girlfriend’s restaurant (she’s now my wife). Although I never loved the hospitality industry, I persevered for 12 years. Later, I worked as a bartender in clubs, served as a national coordinator for Warnaco (Calvin Klein Jeansware and Underwear), and traveled the country setting up displays.
My entrepreneurial spirit led me to start a housekeeping company, manage Airbnbs (including for a company with 213 units in Miami), run liquor stores, and oversee property management for ultra-luxury homes. Along the way, I rubbed shoulders with visionary entrepreneurs and industry titans, inspiring me to pursue my passions. Today, I own a multifamily apartment building that has turned profitable and, in 2023, I raised $3.5 million for my first major project: working on transforming a 1.3-acre property in Hollywood into an 82-unit condo building.
